Determination of other amino acids in amino acids and amino acid derivatives
|
| We offer three different methods for determination of other
amino acids in amino acids and amino acid derivatives . All methods are
possible only in combination with e.g.. determination of optical purity: |
|
| Semi quantitative determination (A445) |
|
| Quantitative determination (A470) |
|
| Quantitative determination via GC-MS (A785) |
|
For free amino acids:
A445 can be mostly used for free
amino acids if
- LOQ of 0.3% is sufficient and
- Histidine needs not to be determined
- In addition it is possible that Cys, Met and Trp can be discriminated
without any indication.
If A455 is applicable can be said after determination of enantiomeric
purity.
|
|
For amino acid derivatives:
The situation for amino acid derivative is different, because matrix effects
and contaminations are observed more often. During the course of A470
these problems are mostly indicated and are possibly to overcome. If A455
is applicable for derivatives too can be said after determination of
enantiomeric purity. |
|
For peptides:
For small peptides in high purity the argumentation is similar
to the amino acid derivatives. In the case of longer peptides and samples
which shows some contaminations decomposition products or other contaminations
even in low concentration can co-elute with amino acids which are to determine
as traces. The results are falsify. In these cases A785
can give most reliable results due to the high selectivity.
