We accept shipments from any carrier, although by using well-known carrier as e.g. World Courier TM, FEDEX®, DHL, …custom clearance is usually rapid.
We register an increased receipt of highly sophisticated shipping containers. Although many of these containers are designed to be used multiple times, most of them are not returned to the customer or the shipping service provider and need to be disposed of.
As a company, which strongly advocates sustainable solutions, we would like to encourage our customers to recycle their shipping containers and retrieve them back from us, in order to increase their lifetime and minimize environmental pollution.
Please note: a surcharge applies, if we need to dispose of oversized and intricate shipping containers. These include, but are not limited to, containers with e.g. multi-layered cooling solutions such a cooling pads, nested cooling tiles, aluminium-coated foam inserts, large crates delivered on pallet etc.
Ideally, data loggers should be handled by the carrier. Handling includes the data acquisition, determination of endpoint, data interpretation, alert-readout and sending those data back to the sender (our customer). We are not equipped to perform readouts for every possible logging system.
A surcharge can apply, if handling of data-logging (e.g. sending acquired data to the customer) needs to be performed by us. However, we cannot guarantee readout capabilities for each specific logging devices.
Samples are stored at shipping conditions regardless of the storage temperature desired by the customer.
We offer three storage temperatures. Room temperature, refrigerated at 5°C or frozen at ‑20 °C.
Samples arriving at room temperature are stored at room temperature until analyses are performed.
Samples arriving refrigerated are stored at 5°C until analyses are performed.
Samples arriving frozen (e.g. on dry ice) are stored at -20°C until analyses are performed.
Upon receipt, samples are stored at their shipping temperatures for three months. Hereafter, samples are stored at room temperature for the remainder of the current and the following calendar year. Subsequent sample destruction is ensured by a professional contractor.
All shipments to C.A.T. fall under the Delivery Duty Paid (DDP) Incoterm®. DDP places responsibility for import clearance and payment of taxes and/or import duty on our customer except for the EU-tax. Customer obligations include, but are not limited to:
To avoid additional charges, please take care that proforma invoices do not exceed 20US$.
